Taking a Decision Agent assessment
What candidates may be asked to do, how their responses are used, and where to go for technical help or an assessment exception.

What will I be asked to do?
The hiring team chooses which activities you take. These may include a questionnaire, a written work scenario or a voice conversation with an AI roleplayer. Follow the instructions for your assessment.
Questionnaires collect the answers needed for the role and may use information from your CV to avoid asking you to repeat it. Scenarios ask you to respond to a work situation. Conversations let you speak with a roleplayer about a situation from the role.
How do I access it, and what equipment will I need?
You normally enter through the invitation link; you do not need a separate Decision Agent account to take the assessment. Questionnaires can be completed on mobile. Voice activities require a working microphone and the audio permissions requested by the assessment.
Check your invitation for the time allowed and equipment requirements before starting a timed activity. If anything is unclear, ask the hiring team before starting.
Is my voice recorded, and how is AI used?
Voice activities can involve recording, transcription and processing by Decision Agent and its voice/AI suppliers. Text answers can also be processed by AI to produce assessment evidence. Read the Candidate Assessment Terms, Privacy Policy and data guide before starting.
For Conversations, reports can link findings to transcript passages and playable clips. Decision Agent does not infer emotion or intention from your voice. A transcript or AI interpretation can contain errors; the hiring team can inspect the underlying exchange.
Does AI decide whether I get the job?
Decision Agent supplies assessment evidence to the hiring organisation. The hiring team is responsible for its requirements and hiring decisions. Some configured questionnaire rules or ATS steps can be automated, so human responsibility does not mean every step is handled manually.
Ask the hiring team how it reviews results, handles exceptions and deals with a concern about a finding. A displayed score is not a guarantee of suitability or a validated prediction of how you will perform in the job.
Can I use AI or other assistance?
Follow the instructions for the activity. Some Scenarios deliberately include an AI assistant so the hiring team can examine how you use its help. That does not mean unauthorised outside help is allowed in every assessment.
Complete the work yourself within the permitted rules. If it is unclear what assistance is allowed, ask the hiring team before starting.
What if I need an adjustment or a different language?
Contact the hiring team before starting if a disability, speech or hearing need, language requirement, or technical constraint may affect your ability to take the assessment. Explain the adjustment you need. The recruiter decides assessment exceptions; Decision Agent can help with technical issues.
Ask the hiring team to confirm the available languages and any alternative format you need before starting. A different format may assess different things, so agree a suitable arrangement for the role.
Can under-18s take an assessment?
Our current Privacy Policy says the service is not intended for people under 18. A hiring team recruiting apprentices or 16–17-year-old applicants should resolve this with Decision Agent before inviting them. This guide does not establish an under-18 assessment route.
What happens if something goes wrong or I miss a deadline?
For technical help, email info@decision-agent.ai and identify the assessment and problem. Avoid sending passwords or unnecessary sensitive information. Contact the hiring team about a deadline, an assessment exception or a hiring decision.
Decision Agent can investigate technical problems; the hiring team decides whether to extend a deadline, restart an activity or make another adjustment. Wait for confirmation before assuming an extension or restart.
How can I ask about my information?
Contact the hiring organisation or info@decision-agent.ai about access, correction or deletion. The hiring organisation is generally the controller for its assessment data. Decision Agent may need its instructions to fulfil a request. The Privacy Policy explains the rights-request process and the response period.
